Lebanese customs foils another cocaine smuggling attempt through Beirut Airport

The Customs Directorate General issued a statement on Saturday saying that it thwarted another attempt to smuggle a quantity of cocaine through Rafiq Hariri International Beirut Airport.

 

The Customs Anti-Drug Division and the Central Anti-Drugs Office of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) jointly succeeded in seizing a total number of 10.8 Kg of cocaine hidden in black envelopes inside a luggage coming aboard Turkish Airlines from Venezuela to Beirut via Istanbul airport.

 

The Central Anti-Drug Office of the ISF launched an investigation into the incident.
