UK police evacuate square in Bolton after report of suspicious package

British police said on Monday they had evacuated Victoria Square in the northern English town of Bolton after they received reports of a suspicious package.

Greater Manchester Police said on Twitter that a precautionary evacuation was being carried out in the square and a 200-meter cordon was in place.
