850 Syrian refugees in Arsal head home

850 Syrian refugees started their voluntary return back to their homeland through the Zamarani border checkpoint in Arsal, as reported on Monday.

The operation took place under the supervision of the General Security and the UNHCR, with the participation of the Lebanese Army and the Lebanese Red Cross.

Upon their departure, refugees expressed relief and thanked Lebanon for having hosted them.
