Attorney General releases Karma Khayat and Mariam Bassam on recognizance

State Prosecutor of the Court of Cassation, Judge Ghassan Khoury has decided to release al-Jadeed TV vice president Karma Khayat and news director Mariam Khayat on their own recognizance, as primary investigation has concluded, in presence of their lawyer Maya Hable.

In remarks made to reporters following the hearing session, Khayat said she and Bassam had objected to the forward of lawsuit to the state prosecution.
