Khoury: Nadine Labaki's Capernaum film nominated to 2019 Oscar

Caretaker Culture Minister, Ghattas Khoury, on Tuesday announced the nomination of Director Nadine Labaki's Capernaum film to represent Lebanon in the 2019 Oscar, organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the United States.

Nadine Labaki's Capernaum film will represent Lebanon in the 2019 Oscar for the foreign film category.

This comes upon the recommendation put forward by the Special Committee tasked to nominate the Lebanese film to the Oscars. The Committee made the recommendation in a report submitted to the minister in the wake of its meeting today.
