Cave similar to Jeita Grotto discovered in Joub Jannine

The infrastructure excavation of Joub Jannine's governmental hospital revealed on Tuesday a cave similar in content and specifications to Jeita Grotto, but whose depth is yet to be measured.

Excavation works were halted and the location is now in the hands of the Directorate of Antiquities, and the Environment and Tourism Ministries, which will conduct field studies for the classification of the cave to decide whether or not it will be included on the tourist and historical monuments map.
