Derian deplores Israeli assault on Gaza

Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, on Tuesday deplored the "brutal and barbaric Israeli aggression on Gaza," deeming the assault as part of war crimes perpetrated by the Zionist entity against the resilient Palestinian people.

"The tragic suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza necessitates all Muslims and Arabs support and solidarize with the Palestinian people in the face of the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians and humanity as a whole," Mufti Derian said. 

The Grand Mufti emphasized that rescuing and supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in their land is a legitimate duty.
