New Lebanese Consulate opens in Calgary, Canada

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Independence, a new Lebanese Consulate was inaugurated in the city of Calgary, in the Canadian province of Alberta.

Elie Ghanimeh has been appointed Honorary Consul for the city.

This decision was taken following demands by the Lebanese Diaspora in this Canadian Province, where 50 thousand Canadians of Lebanese origin live.

Ghanimeh emphasized the importance of this approach that contributes to strengthening the Lebanese-Canadian relations at the economic, social and cultural levels.
