Derian meets Saudi Arabia Grand Mufti in Mecca

Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdullatif Derian met Thursday with Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Abdul Aziz Al ash-Sheikh, during his participation in the International Conference on Islamic Unity in Mecca.

During the meeting, Derian highlighted "the importance of cooperation and relation enhancement between Dar-al-Fatwa in Lebanon and the similar institutions throughout the Arab and Islamic world.

He also called for inter-Muslim solidarity and unity to face religious extremism.
