Berri meets Conte: We gave stern warning on any Israeli aggression against oil block 9

Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, on Thursday welcomed visiting Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, with whom he broached the issue of oil resources in Block 9 and the new Israeli violations.

"We discussed the issue of block 9 and the new Israeli violations. We have also warned oil companies, including the Italian company 'Eni' against the Israeli attack on block 9," Berri said.

The House Speaker went on to say that he would also be raising this issue with France President, Emmanuel Macron. 

Berri finally indicated that Conte had expressed his country's willingness to support Lebanon in various areas, especially on the political and economic levels.
