Bukhari inaugurates Saudi funded 'Al Daryeha' Wing at Elderly Hospital

Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari inaugurated on Monday "Al-Daryeha" Wing at the Islamic Elderly Hospital in Beirut, as a donation by the Saudi Kingdom within the framework of "Oumniya Initiative."


The inaugural ceremony took place in the presence of former Minister Judge Khalid Qabbani, the Dean of the Elderly House Association, Dr. Mahmoud Faour, Board members, the President of the Hospital, Dr. Faisal Shatila, and a number of the Elderly House senior staff.


In his delivered word, Ambassador Bukhari said that the Embassy affirms today the continuation of its humanitarian initiatives in Lebanon, which reflects the real role of his country in the service of mankind and capacity building.


Bukhari said that the inauguration of "Al-Daryeha" Wing comes within the framework of the "Oumniya initiative" launched recently by the Saudi Embassy in Beirut. He disclosed that further initiatives will be undertaken in this respect.


He praised the "role of those who serve the elderly and the nation, deeming them as deserving of the title of pride and dignity because they have delivered a great message in their lives."


The Saudi ambassador underlined the paramount importance of devoting part of our social responsibilities towards this segment of society, hoping for continued communication between the embassy and social institutions in Lebanon.


Following the inaugural ceremony, Bukhari and attendees toured the newly inaugurated five-room wing.
