Makhzoumi from Parliament gives government six-month confidence vote

MP Fouad Makhzoumi announced in his speech during the ministerial statement discussion session on Tuesday giving the new cabinet a six-month confidence vote.

"We have been inspired by advanced democracies which give a hundred or three-month deadline for their governments to prove to be eligible. We give this government our confidence for six full months while we remain attentive to all the developments surrounding its work," the lawmaker said.

"After six months, we will not hesitate, whether negatively or positively, to show everyone the truth (...), Makhzoumi added.
