Mrad via Twitter: Taif agreement confirms special relations with Syria

State Minister for Foreign Trade Affairs, Hassan Mrad, said via Twitter on Tuesday that the Taif Agreement has confirmed special relations between Lebanon and Syria.

"This is a fact that requires Lebanon to consolidate its economic relations with this country, by increasing trade," he tweeted.

The Minister recalled in his tweet that Syria was Lebanon's gateway to the Arab world, through which it exports its agricultural and industrial products, in the interest of farmers and industrialists.
