Jabaq: We will not allow any hospital to refuse any patient

"We will not allow any hospital to refrain from admitting any patient who does not have the financial means to enter the hospital or to pay for medical treatment," Minister of Public Health, Jamil Jabaq, vowed Saturday during an inspection tour of Halba Governmental Hospital in Akkar.

The Minister warned directors of governmental hospitals that he would dismiss them from their positions if they refused to receive emergency cases, resulting in unfortunate deaths at hospital entrances. 

Jabaq also announced that he has increased the ceiling of Halba Hospital's budget to LBP 7 billion.
