Audeh meets Norwegian Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion

Greek Orthodox Archbishop of Beirut and its Suburbs, Elias Audeh received Wednesday the Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Aud Marit Wiig, accompanied by a delegation. 

"I am a special envoy for freedom of religion and belief. I came from Oslo, Norway, at the head of a delegation to visit the United Nations, which has a large Norwegian-funded program on freedom of belief in the region stretching from North Africa to the Middle East", said Ambassador Wiig.

Wiig added that the aim of their visit is to explore the Lebanese experience in terms of national coexistence and living in harmony with respect and acceptance of the other regardless of faiths' affiliations.
