Beirut Governor, Judge Ziad Chebib, praised Saturday the valuable contributions and relentless efforts exerted by the Beirut Municipality head and members, calling on them to maintain their devotion and commitment to their beloved capital away from any external influences, and to preserve their serious endeavors in this respect among the firm constants.
"You have all demonstrated your loyalty to Beirut and I call upon you to do more, because our city and its people deserve it, and your commitment to the love of Beirut must not be affected by any outside noise, and your hard work must be one of the constants," Shebib said.
Speaking at an Iftar hosted by the Municipality of Beirut at the Radisson Verdun Hotel this evening, Chebib pointed to the "near launching of mechanization in the Municipality of Beirut, to move from paper to the electronic and digital phase, which will facilitate transactions and save time on the people of Beirut and its residents."
In turn, Beirut Municipal Council Head Jamal Itani stated that "serving Beirut is one of our main objectives, and we have to give it back a part of what it offers us."
"Our projects are very ambitious and we will work to achieve them," vowed Itani.
