Michele Hajal dies after agressive battle with cancer

Clinical dietitian Michele Hajal, who was a third runner-up in the Miss Lebanon 2016 competition, died on Monday after her battle with cancer.

Hajal was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma shortly after her engagement in January 2018.

She underwent a 4-month chemotherapy treatment. But then her condition deteriorated and she decided to hold a $750,000 fundraising campaign to undergo a treatment in the United States. 

After two months of intensive treatment in Houston, Hajal returned to Lebanon and announced that she was in complete remission.

However, her health condition deteriorated again a few days ago.
