Mikati: Budget an essential step to reduce deficit

Former Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Thursday said that the state budget that would be approved by parliament was not an ideal one; however, he deemed it an essential step to reduce deficit and pave way for better conditions to overcome the current difficult stage.

Mikati’s words came during a ceremony hosted by Al-Azm Doctors in honor of former Doctors’ Syndicate head in Tripoli, Dr. Omar Ayyash, on the occasion of his election as President of the Supreme Council of the Arab Doctors Union.
