Afiouni says budget is a necessary prelude to regaining Lebanese citizens, markets' confidence

Minister of Information Technology, Adel Afiouni, considered via his Twitter account on Saturday that "if the figures of the approved state budget were to be achieved, that would be a significant accomplishment towards ensuring financial reform and the deficit reduction project," adding that it denotes "a necessary prelude to restoring the trust of the Lebanese ctizens and the markets."

He added that "the second step would be to put an end to waste expenditure, stimulate the economy and activate the labor market, alongside launching the Cedar infrastructure projects...Economy First!"
