Tourism Minister Avedis Guidanian launched a new service named "Visitor Experience" from the Leila Solh Hamadeh Hall at the Ministry of Tourism, stressing that such a service was the first to be launched in the Middle East.
"Lebanon is one of the few countries in the world that adopt it," he said, underlining its importance in terms of "improving our performance in the tourism sector in Lebanon."
"Platforms are now installed at the Rafic Hariri International Airport's Duty Free area and at the departure gates, (...) to record foreign visitors' overall assessment of their Lebanon visit. (...) Foreign or Arab visitors will be asked to answer a set of questions. This service was offered by GWR with all its requirements free of charge to the Ministry of Tourism. It is a first step towards developing strategies based on scientifically accurate information and data," Guidanian said, praising the cooperation of the Ministry of Works, and Minister Youssef Fenianos, to install these platforms at the airport.
"We tried to come up with a clear and realistic approach. We can still edit some of the questions whenever we see fit. I am very excited to learn the results of this questionnaire, especially since reviews are of paramount importance," Guidanian said.
