Yacoubian: Mashrou Leila won an unprecedented advertising campaign

Amid the hubbub surrounding Mashrou Leila nationwide, MP Paula Yacoubian resorted to twitter to point out the fact that the band has reaped a massive advertising campaign that it would have never ever dreamt of.

"If we really knew the meaning of freedom, the religious, the atheist, and the neutral would have rebelled against the idea of prevention and repression," Yacoubian tweeted.

"After being banned in Jordan, I watched them [Mashrou Leila] online for the first time," the lawmaker said, pointing to the rising number of the band's online audience and praising one of their songs "Cavalry", which she described as "beautiful and rebellious".
