Prime Minister Saad Hariri's visit to the United States will culminate with an expected meeting this afternoon with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo at the Ministry's headquarters in Washington, in the presence of Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern Affairs David Schenker and Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hill.
Talks will center on the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, and on bilateral relations between both countries in all its aspects.
Hariri had earlier held two preparatory meetings with Schenker and Hill at his place of stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in the US capital, in the presence of former Minister Ghattas Khoury, whereby discussions focused on the issues and dossiers to be tackled during this afternoon's encounter.
The Prime Minister also met earlier with former Senator Joe Lieberman and is scheduled to hold talks with World Bank President David Malpas on the bank's relationship with Lebanon and the projects it finances.
