Jreissati meets French Embassy Chargé d'Affaires over latest developments

Minister of State for Presidency Affairs, Salim Jreissati on Wednesday welcomed at his office at the Beiteddine palace the Chargé d'Affaires of the French Embassy in Lebanon, Salina Grunier Catalano.

Discussions reportedly touched on the general situation in Lebanon, notably at the security level following the Israeli attack on Beirut's southern suburbs and the measures taken by the Lebanese state in this regard.

The French Diplomat conveyed her country's position on the need for restraint, especially as Lebanon prepares for the extension of UNIFIL's mandate in southern Lebanon.

Minister Jreissati briefed Catalano on the positions declared by President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, on the latest developments.
