Jammal Trust Bank responds to US sanctions

After the US sanctions imposed on it, Jammal Trust Bank denied on Friday the allegations on which the US financial control agency OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) would have based its decision, stressing that it respected the regulations of the Lebanese Central Bank, as well as international regulations on the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

The bank added that it would take all necessary measures to reveal the truth and appeal the OFAC's decision before the competent authorities.

The bank finally assured that it would work in coordination with the BDL to protect the interests of its stakeholders.
