Protesters block Elia intersection in Sidon

Demonstrators in the city of Sidon closed all the lanes at the intersection of Elia on Sunday afternoon, after they gathered in the square, raising Lebanese flags, and banners in response to the banners raised during the solidarity march along the road to the Presidential Palace earlier today.

Protesters chanted tunes that called for change and emphasized the continuation of the popular movement, amid the heavy deployment of army units.

Meanwhile, a march set-out by a number of protesters in the streets of the city, where participants carried a giant Lebanese flag forty meters long.
