Jabak says drug prices to be cut by a third

Caretaker Minister of Public Health, Jamil Jabak, announced on Thursday that the prices of drugs and medication will soon be cut by one-third in Lebanon.

"The Lebanese people will soon be informed that drug prices have been reduced by 25 to 30%," Jabak said in an interview.

He explained that the pricing was made based on the prices in the countries of origin as well as on the prices in the 14 neighboring states.

"We decided to go for the average price," he said.
