Italian Embassy thanks Lebanon for lighting up facade of Beirut National Museum with Italian flag

The Embassy of Italy in Lebanon on Monday issued a press release in which it expressed its gratitude to the Lebanese Ministry of Culture - Directorate General of Antiquities, for lighting up with the Italian flag the facade of the National Museum of Beirut, as a message of solidarity during the Covid-19 crisis.



“The National Museum represents a symbol of the strong bond that ties Italy and Lebanon. The shared commitment to the preservation and promotion of the Lebanese cultural heritage, with the support of the Italian Cooperation, is a concrete and living example of our partnership that we are particularly proud of,” the statement read.



“With the same spirit, the Embassy of Italy thanks the Municipality of Tyre for projecting the Italian and Lebanese flags on the clock tower, expressing solidarity and proximity to Italy in these difficult times. We strongly believe that through unity and cooperation, we will be able to overcome this unprecedented emergency,” the Italian Embassy’s statement added.
