Deputy Prime Minister, caretaker Defense Minister, and Acting Foreign Minister, Zeina Akar, met on Tuesday with Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon, Qian Minjian, over the bilateral relations. 

Akar later met with UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Joanna Wronecka.

A statement by Akar's office indicated that the pair discussed the general situation in the country and the periodic report on UNSC resolution 1701. Talks also touched on the UNIFIL mandate renewal.
