In an issued statement on Sunday, the head of the Lebanese Medical Social Gathering Raef Reda called for "fully channelling the actual value of the PCR tests performed at the arrivals hall at Beirut airport, to the Lebanese University, as long as its students are the ones who conduct these tests and provide the results."

He pointed out that "the Lebanese University is in need of dollars to cover its needs, and has been carrying out its duty to the fullest since the start of the coronavirus pandemic."
