Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Wednesday saluted the Palestinian journalist Shereen Abu Aqleh, who was martyred today by the Israeli occupation forces’ bullets while covering the incidents of the Jenin Palestinian camp.
Premier Mikati contacted Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, offering condolences to the Palestinian people on the "martyrdom of one of the most courageous journalists over the years in the face of the brutality of the Israeli occupation and its practices against the Palestinian people."
"The martyrdom of Abu Aqleh is a badge of pride on the forehead of the Palestinian people who are facing the Israeli occupation with all courage and determination. It also constitutes a disgrace to the occupation that continues to oppress and deprive the Palestinians of their rights,” the PM concluded.
