استنكرت حركة "أمل" و"حزب الله"، في بيان مشترك، حادث الاعتداء الذي تعرض له الشيخان مازن حريري واحمد فخران، واعتبرا هذا الاعتداء محاولة لاثارة الفتنة.
ودعا الطرفان الجهات الامنية والمختصة الى ملاحقة الفاعلين وتوقيفهم ومحاسبتهم "لأي فئة انتموا".
