اعلن المركز الوطني الاميركي للاعاصير انه تم تصنيف العاصفة "كاتيا" مساء الاثنين اعصارا من الفئة الرابعة على مقياس سافير - سيمبسون الذي يعد خمس فئات، لكنه لا يزال يتواجد فوق المحيط الاطلسي بعيدا جدا من اليابسة ليشكل تهديدا.
