France slammed on Tuesday that the execution of two Lebanese soldiers by the Islamic State in Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) was an "abominable crime" and illustrated the "barbarous nature" of this radical movement.
The French Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the murder of these two soldiers "reinforces our determination to mobilise the international community against terrorism."
"France reiterates its support for Lebanon, its institutions and the Lebanese armed forces, which guarantee the unity of the country," Foreign Ministry spokesman Romain Nadal said in a briefing.
