أشارت إذاعة صوت لبنان (100.5) إلى حصول مواجهة داخل الأراضي اللبنانية في مشاريع القاع بين عناصر من الجيش السوري ومنشقين عنه، ما أدى الى مقتل المجموعة المنشقة بكاملها وهي مؤلفة من ضابطين وستة عناصر.
