The Free Patriotic Movement is trying to impose certain conditions and provoke the government by paralyzing it on all levels, MP Ahmad Fatfat said, admitting that filling up a security vacuum is a highly necessary need that must be fulfilled away from political pressure.
 

Touching on Geagea’s endorsement of Aoun’s candidacy, the lawmaker explained that "Geagea is a Lebanese Politician who has every right to name any candidate of his choosing.”
However, he soon downplayed Aoun’s nomination over a lack of clear stance on the matter, doubting that such move would serve the Lebanese Forces' strategic interests.
“By nominating Aoun, (Geagea) would be expressing favoritism towards the Iranian project in the region,” he noted.
