نفى مصدر في الاستخبارات اللبنانية، عبر صحيفة "الأنباء" الكويتية، صحة ما نشر عن إبلاغ الاستخبارات وزير المال علي حسن خليل بأن اسمه مدرج ضمن "لائحة اغتيالات وتهديدات". وقال: "لم نبلغ الوزير خليل شيئاً مما ذكر".
