Justice Minister Albert Serhan said on Thursday that the judicial system in Lebanon was not corrupt, adding that the issue lies within the many transgressions and law violations taking place therein.
"Justice in Lebanon is sound; judges are working relentlessly and their assistants are fully assuming their duties," Serhan said.
"However, there are lacks and needs in terms of computerization, premises and equipment," he added.
"The judiciary is not corrupt, but there are transgressions which are now being investigated by the competent security apparatuses," he indicated.
"Things are on track," he underlined.
Serhan's remarks came during a tour he effectuated in the palaces of justice in Jounieh, Jbeil, and Tripoli. The inspection also included the court of Batroun and the Serail of Zgharta.
