President Michel Aoun commented Saturday on the issued verdict related to the assassination case of the four judges, saying: "Following the Judicial Council's issued verdicts last night against the accused in the assassination of the four judges on the arch of the Criminal Court of Sidon 20 years ago, justice has been achieved, even if late!"

He added: "The perpetrators of this crime, which shocked the judicial body and the enitre Lebanon, killing four of the finest judges in Lebanon, were supposed to be convicted long before...This obliges us to work on amendments to the Code of Criminal Procedure, in order to facilitate the course of proceedings so as not to delay verdicts therein."

President Aoun paid tribute to the memory of the martyr judges, reiterating condolences to their family members and affirming his solidarity with them.
