In a humorous incident, a child sneaked through the fence outside the White House and began running in the garden before being intercepted by U.S. Secret Service officers.
Secret Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi stated that the young child crawled through the fence in the North Lawn about an hour after President Donald Trump announced new tariffs on cars from the Oval Office. Guglielmi said in a social media post, "The officers quickly managed to return the child to their parents without any incidents."
The attached video, which spread on social media, shows an armed officer carrying the small child, dressed in a blue jacket, crossing the garden before handing them over to another officer.
It is worth noting that this was not the first time a child had sneaked into the White House grounds. In April 2023, another small child managed to crawl through the metal fence at the same location before being returned to their parents, who were briefly interrogated.
