President of the Republic Joseph Aoun stated that "the people are exhausted and deserve our sacrifice for their sake. We have an opportunity that we must seize. Let us show the people that we are mature enough to build the state, which we will build it. Let your achievements speak for you."

During his visit to the General Directorates of Internal Security Forces and General Security, President Aoun said: "I urge you to restore the prestige of the security forces which must not be compromised."

He added: "Represent the state before religions and politicians, not the other way around. Serve Lebanon’s interests alone, enforce the law, and do not be influenced by anyone."
