Minister of Energy and Water Joe Saddi visited the Electricité du Liban (EDL) headquarters in Mar Mikhael—still bearing witness to the devastation of the August 4 Beirut Port explosion.

Saddi toured the site and met with employees working under extremely difficult conditions to keep operations running. EDL Director General Kamal Hayek informed the minister that a tender for the building’s restoration has been scheduled for next month.
