Finance Minister Yassin Jaber received Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Waleed Bukhari, in his office at the Ministry.
Discussions between the pair reportedly touched on the general situation and the reform measures undertaken by the Ministry of Finance.
According to a statement from the Finance Ministry's media office, the talks touched on “the new dynamics adopted at the ministry, which include accelerated measures for financial and monetary stability and stimulate growth."
The discussions also touched on the Lebanese-Saudi bilateral relations and the positive atmosphere fostered by the Kingdom's recent stances toward Lebanon, which will undoubtedly strengthen the excellent and distinguished relations between the two countries and brotherly peoples.
“It is hoped that this will also provide an impetus to stimulate and encourage investment factors so that the country's economic cycle can return to a state of recovery,” statement said.
Minister Jaber expressed satisfaction with the atmosphere that prevailed during the meeting, and expressed optimism that "the rapid reform steps being undertaken by Lebanon, both at the governmental and legislative levels, will usher in a recovery phase for Lebanon."
