Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received Director General of the Arab Labor Organization Fayez Al-Mutairi at the Grand Serail, in the presence of Labor Minister Mohammad Haidar.
Discussions focused on launching joint projects to support workers, employers, and government institutions in Lebanon, aimed at combating unemployment and adapting to digital transformation. Al-Mutairi confirmed the organization’s full support for Lebanon, while Haidar announced upcoming training programs for labor inspectors and modern management workshops.
Salam also welcomed Mufti of Baalbek-Hermel Sheikh Ayman Al-Rifai, accompanied by a large delegation of northern Bekaa officials and clerics, who voiced support for government reforms and praised efforts to restore state institutions.
In addition, the Prime Minister met with Lebanon’s newly appointed ambassadors to Brazil, Elias Nicolas, and Pakistan, Abdel Aziz Issa, ahead of their assumption of new diplomatic posts.
