Following the communications and follow-up carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon, the Chinese Consulate in Beirut will resume issuing visas to Lebanese citizens wishing to visit China on September 25, after a suspension of more than a year due to security and military developments. 

Previously, Lebanese citizens had to travel to Jordan to obtain a visa. Chinese Ambassador Chen Chuandong contacted Foreign Minister Youssef Reji during his stay in New York and informed him that visa services would return to the level they were at before their forced suspension.
