Prime Minister Nawaf Salam welcomed US President Donald Trump's announcement of a comprehensive plan to end the war in Gaza.

Premier Salam wrote on X: “I welcome US President Donald Trump's announcement of a comprehensive plan to end the war in Gaza, particularly as it stipulates an immediate ceasefire, the delivery of essential humanitarian aid to residents, and the prevention of the displacement of the Palestinian people."

The PM also stressed that "this plan enshrines the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state on their land."

Salam also welcomed President Trump’s announcement that he rejects Israel's annexation of the West Bank.
