The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants strongly condemned Israel’s continued violations of Lebanon’s sovereignty, most recently the aggression targeting the Msayleh area in the Sidon district, which caused significant damage, resulted in the death of a Lebanese citizen, and injured seven others.
The ministry said in a statement: "This aggression constitutes a blatant new violation of UN Resolution 1701 and of the agreement related to the cessation of hostilities, which Israel continues to refuse to comply with."
It emphasized that "the continuation of these attacks could hinder the national efforts being undertaken by the army to implement its plan aimed at confining weapons to the hands of legitimate forces and maintaining security and stability in southern Lebanon."
