The government commissioner to the Military Court, Judge Claude Ghanem, has received the initial investigation reports conducted with the artist Fadel Chaker at the Lebanese Army Intelligence Directorate in four security cases for which he had previously received in absentia verdicts.
Judge Ghanem is currently reviewing these reports and is expected to complete his review by Tuesday or Wednesday. He will then refer them to the head of the Permanent Military Court, Brigadier General Bassam Fayyad, who will examine them in preparation for setting a session to begin questioning Fadel Chaker.
The first session of Chaker's trial is expected to be scheduled next week, according to the National News Agency.
