From Sofia, where he is currently on an official visit to Bulgaria, President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun, has been following up on the details of the massive fire that has been raging since yesterday in the Jezzine region, particularly in Bkassine, in the Chouf district, and in Rihan.

President Aoun instructed the Civil Defense Corps to work on extinguishing the fire and asked the army to mobilize its air capabilities to help extinguish the flames and prevent their spread. 

President Aoun also emphasized the importance of addressing the needs of residents in the affected areas.

The President remained in constant contact with the army and the Civil Defense to monitor the evolving situation.
