Minister of Economy Amer Bisat at the Beirut 1 Conference:

Today marks a new beginning; a new start and a new path to rebuilding trust between the state and its citizens.

Bisat emphasized, We know how difficult this starting point, and understand that roads will be long and torturous; however, we recognize that Lebanon has what it takes, and what we do not have in physical capital, we have in soft capital and work force.

He further stressed, We are committed to re-inventing the State, we want a state that is sovereign and protects the weak.
