Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded to Foreign Minister Youssef Raggi’s invitation for negotiations, saying:

“My dear friend, Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Raggi, invited me in an interview with MTV to engage in negotiations.

We do not interfere in Lebanon’s internal affairs, but we welcome any dialogue aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Iran and Lebanon, and there is no need for a third country.

I invite my colleague Youssef to visit Tehran, and I am also ready to visit Beirut with great pleasure if I receive an official invitation.”
